I thought I’d blog a little bit about myself. I originally had this in the sidebar, but it was taking up WAY too much space on the side.
Hey there! I’m a 34 yr old Chinese-American with a penchant for crafty hobbies, cooking, style and cats. I love all kinds of Life Pro Tips, basically any tip for making life easier. Amongst my hobbies are knitting,
crochet, scrap booking (any paper craft really), gaming, reading, travelling, and cooking. I’m interested in learning about sustainability, cooperative living, and healthy (and vegetarian) eating. Lately I’ve been fooling around with sourdough starters and baking with wild yeast. I love all things that are design oriented. I love playing dress up, and trying out new beauty tricks. All this is always finessed with a healthy dose of style and love.
From left to right, my brother Peter, me, groomsman Roger, our friend Caroline, my brother-in-law Boeing (groom), my sister Michelle (bride), Boeing’s brother Alex, her best friend Ann Louise, groomsman Jim, and my sister Jade.
I live with my sister Michelle, her husband Boeing, his brother Alex, and our 2 cats, Butter (the fat friendly one) and Sugar (the shy but sweet one). We have a great place in Santa Monica 11 blocks from the beach, and living with family is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Butter is the one with fur that looks like dead leaves. Sugar is a black and white tuxedo with a Hitler stache.
I’ve been very lucky to have had all kinds of interesting experiences already in my 34 years on this earth. At 21 I danced in a number of music videos for such artists as Janet Jackson (I am the one in the blue wig), Madonna (you can catch me staring up at the camera for a few seconds), Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk and Maxwell. I performed at the MTV Music awards with Madonna. I’ve spent 2 weeks on a little island in Malaysia scuba diving, staying in a little hut with no electricity or running water. I’ve started and failed a business in England at 22. And at 29 I participated in the CBS reality show Survivor China, lasting 36 days and placing 5th overall with 2 immunity wins. Not bad for a little Asian chick, eh?
Here I am with Jeff Probst after one of my immunity wins.
I run 2 businesses. My main business is Lo Rador, a jewelry business founded by my grandfather. I manage it along with my parents Lawrence and Maria, and my Uncle Patrick helps out as well. We design and create fabulous high end color gemstone and diamond jewelry. I exhibit and sell my jewelry at jewelry shows in different cities around the US.

I also co-founded Curious Curations with my sisters Michelle and Jade. It’s a collection of charmingly cute shoes, bags and accessories. It’s our pet project, and it’s been really fun working together with my siblings.

Phew! I think that’s enough of an onslaught of Peih-Gee-ness. Keep following my blog to see more of my life and projects. Thanks for reading!
